| It has been very interesting learning more about working in my dream job. When I completed the “Drive of Your Life” game, I discovered that my personal style profile was: creative, practical, and influential. The three careers that match my style are: fashion designer, photographer, and fine artist. From this information I have decided to explore becoming a fashion designer. I selected this job because I enjoy drawing and expressing my style. One of my daily activities as a fashion designer would be to look at different kinds of fabric that would be used in my business. I also have to draw rough or detailed designs of clothing, shoes and accessories. In addition, I have to go to fashion shows and read fashion magazines in order to get ideas and follow trends.To work as a fashion designer, I need to get a associate's degree in college. I must be good at time management and coordination with other people in order to become a well trained fashion designer.In the United States, the average salary for a fashion designer is $71,400 per year. In the state of Virginia, the average annual salary is $46,518. In the United States by the year 2016, employment for a fashion designer is expected to increase by 5%. In the state of Virginia by the year 2016, it is expected to increase by 16.1%. I am looking forward to becoming a fashion designer in the future. |
